Age Restrictions
The guest of record (ie the person making the reservation) must be at least 25 years of age and will be financially responsible for the care of the residence as well as sharing the details of this contract with each guest for notice and adherence to the below standards of occupancy.
Small children, too young to be left unsupervised are not permitted in Cana Cottage or Chapel Cottage due to the layout of the cottages and proximity of the private swimming pool.
Minimum Stay
We require a 5 night minimum stay for each of our Cottages.
Deposit / Payment Policy
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking if over 30 days. If booking is less than 30 days of arrival date, then the full amount will be required. Payment is accepted by Visa, MasterCard or Discover Cards only.
Summer Stays: Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Winter Stays: Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy
If your plans change and you need to cancel, please contact us immediately. Cancellations made well in advance of arrival (see below), will have the initial deposit refunded less a $100 admin fee as detailed below:
Summer Stays: Cancel 30 days or more prior to arrival.
Winter Stays: Cancel 60 days or more prior to arrival.
If cancellation is made on shorter notice than outlined above, amounts paid are non-refundable except for the 13% accommodation tax.
If you are within the cancellation period, and shorten your stay, there are No refunds for unused nights. Minor date changes can be made free of charge.
Cancellation insurance is highly recommended and you should ensure that any insurance covers not only your accommodation, but flights, car rentals and any other pre-paid expenses. Check with your own insurance company or compare/purchase online via insuremytrip.com
House Rules
1). Any events with invited guests must be approved in writing. Mastic Cottages MAY permit weddings, events, or ceremonies with advance notice. Fees and deposits may apply.
2) Exceeding the stated occupancy risks eviction without refund. Each residence is licensed by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism for a maximum # of guess. We cannot exceed the occupancy allowed / licensed by the Department of Tourism. Guests showing up with more guests than booked, can be rejected from occupying the cottages and will forfeit all moneys paid.
3) Guest will not have additional overnight guests without permission, nor will any guest be permitted to sleep on any (non-bedding) furniture.
4) No animals are allowed inside any of the properties unless specified and approved beforehand.
Service animals will require advance approval.
5) Smoking is not permitted on our property or in the cottages. This includes outdoor lounge and pool areas.
Trash cans are provided for your convenience.
6) Swimming pools are potentially dangerous. Please supervise your non-swimming guests. Neither Mastic Cottages nor the cottage owners will be held responsible for any accident, injury or death sustained by you or your guests while on the property or while using any non-motorized equipment provided. We are not there to supervise you or your guests and there is no life guard on duty at the pool(s).
7) Mastic Cottages offers quiet enjoyment to all guests and residents. There is to be no shouting from/to cottages from/to the pool or recreational areas or any music played (at any time) outdoors within earshot of other guests.
8) No glass bottles or containers around the pool area for safety reasons.
Guest will be held responsible for any cleaning costs if found liable for pool closure due to broken glass.
9) Please do not put anything inorganic in the toilets other than tissue paper, as each residence is connected to a local septic system.
10) Any temporary utility service outages that are outside the control of the owners of Mastic Cottage, are not subject to arbitrary refund.
Housekeeping
If you need anything, if anything is missing or in non working order, please email or call us during reasonable hours. We live nearby and will help as quickly as possible.
Your cottage is fully equipped and includes everything you will typically need during a vacation. This includes a fully equipped kitchen, with all utensils, pots, pans, cooking paraphernalia, dishes, cups, glasses, etc. Basic cleaning supplies are also included, as is toilet paper, basic bathroom amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. If you have specific preferences or needs, any such personal items, toiletries, spices, etc are your own responsibility and are not provided by Mastic Cottages.
Maid service is not included in your stay other than a mid stay cleaning for guests staying 7 nights or more. Guests are responsible for washing their dishes, and keeping the cottage reasonably clean during their stay.
Use of Free Bicycles
The use of the bicycles is your responsibility, Mastic Cottages cannot be held responsible for any issues.
