Pedro St James Castle, or as it is more commonly known, Pedro’s Castle, offers a glimpse into what life on the island was like back in the 18th century This lovely site is a great place to learn about Cayman’s history, as the house is home to many of Cayman’s historical moments.
Built in 1780, it was the largest home on the island and eventually became the home of the first elected parliament of the islands in December 1831, causing it to be known as “The Birthplace of Democracy in the Cayman Islands”.
